Web Page Design Outsourcing You Can Afford

Would it help your business to have a web designer at your infinite disposal? Someone to create all of your opt-in/landing pages, thank you pages, sales pages . . . any page you might need to run your online business? This is the kind of outsourcing that takes up 5 figures in a successful online marketer’s annual budget. Not the kind of thing most of us can afford, yet. The catch-22 of it is that if you want to be able to afford a 5-figure web designer, you’ll first need the pages she would design for you to grow your business to that level! Enter Ten Minute Pages. I’m going to do a rare thing today, and promote a product that I’m an affiliate for. I hesitated a few days before deciding to do this. But ultimately, I realized that I use this product to make my business easier, better, and more cost-efficient. It would therefore be a disservice not to tell you about it. (And if you hate the whole affiliate thing, just buy it straight from the site rather than through my link. I want the credit for turning you on to the product more than I want the commission.) I’m not going to spend a lot of time telling you the specifics of Ten Minute Pages. That’s what the sales page is for. There are three packages, including payment plans for the higher-priced packages. Money is no excuse here. This product will save you money, and make you money, at the same time. Before you check out the sales page, let me tell you why...

9 Unusual but Achievable Tips to Start Profiting Now with Your Online Business

When I first started out online, I was totally sucked in by those stories of people who made $10,000 in their first thirty days. With a system I could purchase for just $97 today! You would think I would be smarter than that. But hey, if it’s possible that it could happen, isn’t it worth $97? Well, I’ve come a long way over the years. Fortunately. And I realize that the “first 30 days” always means “the first 30 days after they’ve worked at it for 2 or 3 or 10 years!” While it’s not realistic that you’re going to start pulling in 5 figures a month your first month in business, you can get into the profit zone in the first 30 days. But, it’s not necessarily going to be easy. It’s going to require that you do some things that most others aren’t willing to do. Good news is, they are things that you can do. Let’s talk about 9 things you can do to jump-start your online business profits. The “how to” of each of these could be its own article, but I’ll give you enough information here to decide which direction you want to go. Give Stuff Away You’re probably familiar with this concept. You give a free ebook, report, or video in exchange for a person’s email address. Everyone’s doing this to build their list. But it takes time to get those on your email list to actually buy from you. So how do you give stuff away, and profit now? Here are 3 things that work. 1. Telephone Consultation When you are first...

Does Your Online Business Make You Happy? (It Should!)

I started my online business career in network marketing, representing various direct sales companies. I then became an affiliate marketer and sold products in the hottest niche markets I could find. Both of these options can be a good way to make a living. And in each arena, I found people once in awhile who were passionate about what they were selling. But, much more often than not, I found people who didn’t care what they sold. They just wanted to make money. They had no passion or real interest in their product. Especially when it came to affiliate marketing, there were few who had ever even used the product they were promoting. When I started coaching people on how to build an online business doing affiliate marketing, I always tried to match passion with what my client would be selling. But few people cared. “I’m passionate about whatever makes the most money,” was the prevailing attitude. This was the primary reason I left affiliate marketing. I seemed to be surrounded by a lot of people who wanted to make a lot of money. Very few were making any real money. And even fewer were happy with their online business and what they were doing. After 15 years as a business owner, and lots of experience watching, talking to and learning from other business owners, I remain more convinced than ever that the most important consideration in choosing the market for your online business is that it makes you happy. If you aren’t happy doing what you do, then little else matters. In today’s video, I talk about why...

2 Big Reasons Your Online Business Needs WordPress.org

One of the most basic, yet most important, questions for online business owners is “how do I put up my website?” The good news is, even the most technically challenged among us no longer has to hire someone to put up a website.  My 7-year-old could do this. Many online business owners operate on a tight budget to begin with.  The temptation therefore is to use WordPress.com (or, less frequently, Blogger.com).  Both of these platforms allow you to set up a blog for free. If you are serious about your online business – I mean if you want to make any money at all – resist the free temptation and lay out a few bucks to host your own site using WordPress.org. When it comes to using WordPress.com versus WordPress.org, you do in fact “get what you pay for.” Now I don’t always buy into the “you get what you pay for” theory.  I’ve never tasted any difference in the store brand macaroni and the name brand.  But, the $20 jeans I buy my kids do have fewer holes in them than the $10 ones. And WordPress.com will serve your hobby well, but could destroy your online business. We could talk about the need for WordPress.org all day, but really, there are two big reasons your home business must have it.  So let’s just get to the heart of it. → First, You Need to Own and Control Your Content← With WordPress.com, you don’t own anything you put on your site.  You don’t pay for hosting – they do.  Which means they make the rules.  And the rules are...

3 Roads to Online Business Success Through Product Creation

One of the biggest concerns I hear from new or prospective online business owners is “What will I sell?” You may have a burning desire to help people lose 100 pounds like you did.  But how do you turn that passion into an online business if you have no “how to lose weight” product to sell your clients? The obvious and easy answer, of course, is that you can become an affiliate marketer.  It’s definitely possible to create a healthy online business through selling other people’s products.  And I know there are people who swear by it. But, even the most super-successful affiliate marketers all seem to come out with their own product — about how to become a super-successful affiliate marketer. Having gone the affiliate marketing route in my home business for several years, I realize that I could have served more people, and made more money, if I had overcome my fear and just created a product much sooner than I did. Like most things, affiliate marketing is okay in moderation.  I still promote Jim Rohn’s One Year Success Plan.  It made a huge difference in my life.  It complements my own products.  I think it’s a perfect place for everyone to start.  And, since I’m about serving my clients in the best way I can, I recommend it.  And make a little money when people get started on the plan. I also recommend that you start your online business with an affiliate product if you don’t have a product of your own ready to go.  Work diligently on your product creation.  Give yourself a deadline. But...

3 Reasons Big Ticket Items are the Easiest Way to Make Money Online

When I first began my internet marketing career I was afraid to ask people for money. I was an affiliate for a company that had a $100 package and a $1000 package. Sure, I mentioned the $1000 package, but I always encouraged my customers towards the $100 package. buy phentermine I thought that would be an “easier” way to make money online than the $1000 package. I didn’t succeed as an affiliate amoxil for a long time with that company Ampicillin online due to my flawed mentality. Experience has taught me that it’s easier to make money online with a big ticket product. There are three reasons that promoting a big ticket item is the easiest way to make money online. First, big ticket items attract more serious buyers. Just about anyone will download a $27 Ebook. But way too many of them will ask for refunds. Way too many of them will never read it. Some of them will even blame you when it “doesn’t work,” whatever that means. Why do you care about these things? Because such customers are a time-consuming nuisance. In contrast, serious buyers will become serious affiliates for you. If you are in a two-tier affiliate program (and you should be), your buyers become your affiliates. You make money from their efforts in promoting the product. Having a group of low dollar buyers that aren’t serious will result in a group of affiliates that do nothing. Second, the easiest way to make money online is to develop repeat customers. Because your big ticket buyers are more serious, they are also more likely to be...
